About Me
I am an experienced Data Visualization Consultant and I have spent the last two years developing my passion for building beautiful web applications with React, Node, and Next. I now hope to use the new skills I've gained and take this professional interest full time by joining an agile team as a React developer where I can combine my 3 years of designing and developing data-intensive business intelligence applications with my passion for front end development with React. As a self-taught developer with a couple years of personal study (check out my projects) I'm eager to embark on the next stage in my career as a front end developer!

Completed CMSC 201 - Intro to Computer Science with Java
In this online course held at Montgomery College, I learned about computer science with Java. This course was my first real exposure to Object Oriented Programming, focusing on Encapsulation, Composition, Inheritance, and Polymorphism.
Completed CMSC 140 - Introduction to Programming
In this online course held by Montgomery College, I learned the basics of object oriented & functional programming using C++.
Completed Udemy Course Modern Javascript from the Beginning
This was my first hands-on introduction to ES6 Javascript. I followed along with 21 hours of video content, learning about DOM manipulation, events, Asynchronous JS, APIs, and design patterns.
2019
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Certificatioin
Completed & passed the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam.
First Web-Based Visualization Project with D3
Joined an internal project using the javascript library D3.js to visualize employee movement at LMI using timesheet data. This was my first introduction to javascript and using the web as a canvas for data visualization and application development.
Agile Scrum Certification
Took a 3-day Agile Scrum course through LMI, and passed the exam to receive my certification. (Expired March, 2021)
2018
Joined LMI as Data Visualization Consultant
Began working as Tableau Developer & Data Viz Analyst @ LMI's Advanced Analytics service line. Had the opportunity to contribute on projects ranging from maintenance & availability data visualization for the US Navy to Internal LMI dashboarding efforts to support project managers.
Joined United States Pharmacopeia as Data Analyst
Began working in a general data analytics support role under the Sales & Marketing Program Operations global manager. Tasked with summarizing sales data for the team, I identified a data source and built Tableau dashboards that showed monthly and year-over-year trends.
